The Dark Side of Saturn
Dark side of Saturn. South is up in this view in which all lighting is indirect. We are looking at the unlit side of the rings. Saturn's nocturnal southern hemisphere shines with light bounced off their lit side. Meanwhile, the darker night hemisphere is also somewhat illuminated by filtered light from the rings' relatively dark side. Mosaic composite photograph.
