Preparation of
nonwoven wallpaper
Our non-woven wallpapers are made of tested materials in the utmost care. They are made of high quality fleece, they contain no substances, which are harmful to environment and health and are biodegradable.
Preparation
Please only use rolls from one production and check the wallpaper carefully for any defects before gluing! Take care on a very careful test in order to really exclude complaints. Complaints of processed goods and other compensation claims, as well as return and exchange are excluded. To do this, roll out the non-woven wallpaper on a smooth, clean surface before processing.
The wall should be plane, clean and free of impurities, such as grease, oil, or wallpaper remainings. Draw vertical helper lines.
Preparation of foundation ground
The surface needs to be dry, sustainable, flat, clean, absorbent and neutral in colour,
or even match the wallpaper motif in colour. Remove old wallpaper completely! Smooth and close rough surfaces, holes and bumps. For equal absorptivity and reinformcement purposes, plaster surfaces should generally be treated with water-based primer. An impeccable wallpapering result ican only be achieved on a uniformly coloured background, therefore, if necessary, lining paper or pigmented primer should be used.
For non-absorbent substrates, the bonding of a renovation fleece is recommended in advance. On this base can be papered, as described.
Mix the wallpaper glue with cold water and let it steep about 30 min. Spread the glue evenly over the first helper line on the wall.
Glueing and bonding of non-woven wallpaper
Please use only specially developed wallpaper paste for non-woven wallpapers. Our product was tested with non-woven wallpaper paste from Henkel "Metylan direct control". The dimensionally stable wallcovering can be glued directly - apply non-woven wallpaper paste directly to the wall, wallpaper on the pasted wall - without soaking time edge-to-edge. The non-woven wallpaper paste should be applied with a roll slightly wider than the width of the wallpaper width completely. Now the wallpaper sheets get applied vertically and from the inside to the outside and pressed bubble-free onto the surface with a clean, soft, damp cloth or a foam rubber roll.
Start gluing the first wallpaper web from top to bottom. Leave some section material at the edges of the ceiling and floor.
ATTENTION !!!
Remove excess paste with a moist foam immediately, since this can remain visible after drying. Carefully cut any resulting section material with a cutting ruler and a cutter knife directly at the wall. Please do not use brushes or plastic roller. Pressing too hard may damage the wallpaper. When using a gluing machine no warranty on dimensional stability or damage to the material is given. Excessively strong heating and draught during the drying process may cause openings at the edges. Start wallpapering always on the left side of the wall, in numerical order. Start with lane 1, continuing until the last lane. Due to the width you ordered, it may be that there is an unprinted, white area on the last lane, which may need to be cut!
Smooth the wallpaper from top to bottom so that the air can escape at the sides.
Layout design wallpapers / repeating patterns
Wallpaper webs will be made especially for your individual wall size in the required quantity and height. Each roll is provided with a counting label on the head edge. Due to the production process, max. 25 m are packed per roll. For information, see the inserter and/ or labels attached to the rolls. Please note that generally every second lane are turned by 180 °. Please pay attention to the numbers given on the inserts / labels! The webs must always be continuously papered on the wall starting with roll 1 to the left. It makes sense not to unpack all roles immediately and cut apart, otherwise the order may be unclear.
Spread the glue evenly over the next part and repeat steps 3 and 4.
Devision of lanes wallpaper with motif
The non-woven wallpapers are made to your specifications. The web length and the amount of webs give you the given height and width. The rolls are numbered; the order is marked at the head of each roll in the insert. Due to production, every second lane is turned by 180 °. The end of the first roll and the end of the second roll (foot to foot) are separated by an approximately 1 cm white space. So you have to unroll the second wallpaper roll completely, until you arrive at the top of the web. Disconnect the inserts just before you glue the web to the wall of the wallpaper, to avoid any confusion!
Attach the second lane edge to edge to the first lane, making sure that the motif fits.
Remove excess glue with a sponge and clear water. Cut off overlapping wallpaper on ceiling and floor with cutter. Ventilate the room well, so that the wallpaper can dry.
How to remove the wallpaper from the wall?
Non-woven wallpapers are dry removeable, after a good surface preparation. Fleece has a much higher strength than paper. The disposal of old wallpaper or cutting rests can be disposed on the residual waste or household-like commercial waste. Note: The above information is only a general recommendation. The working conditions and background conditions beyond our control exclude a claim from this information. In case of doubt we recommend sufficient self-tests.
Can I glue the wallpaper on woodchip wallpaper?
Technically, it is no problem to stick the wallpaper on woodchip. However, the surface of the woodchip will also push through this wallpaper layer and remain visible.
Is it possible to glue the wallpaper to external walls as well?
Theoretically, this is possible. However, there is no guarantee that the subsoil and the respective weather conditions will guarantee a satisfactory result.
