North Polar Region of Enceladus Seen by Cassini Probe
This three-image mosaic from the Cassini probe looks south over the north pole of Saturn's moon Enceladus. The flowing fractured terrain center left which has deformed some craters is the Samarkand Sulci; the two joined craters center are Aladdin (lower) and Ali Baba. This is the Saturn-facing hemisphere of Enceladus. The northern polar region of Saturn's moon Enceladus shows a much less active, older, more heavily cratered region than the south.
