The night sky from the Pto de la Peña Negra, Piedrahita
Piedrahita, Spain. 22nd August 2012 -- A ten seconds exposure of the night sky immediately above the Pto de la Pea Negra showing a partial count of the stars that could be seen. -- The Pto de la Pea Negra (1909m) is in the Sierra de Villafranca, Avila Province. Features in the night sky on the 22 August were the new crescent moon and the celestial triangle Mars, Saturn and Spice, and the Big Dipper.
